Jazzy Joan Presents: Sons and Daughters of Jazz Greats

There are so many ways to explore jazz, and Jazzy Joan continues her quest to seek out compelling ways to do just that. Staying true to her focus on current-day artists, she sets her sight on jazz in the family – specifically, “what happens when the child of a jazz great ‘stays in the family business?’”

Joan has selected tunes a handful of jazz artists of great renown and their offspring, and it’s up to you to decide whether a familial connection is there or not. She will also feature current-day artists with no apparent jazz-in-the-family ties, yet have an uncanny familiarity with jazz artists from previous generations.
