Since 2003 Sam Robinson has played his trumpet in venues all over Chicago and the Midwest. He currently leads the Sam Robinson Quintet which plays straight-ahead jazz, mainly from the hard-bop / post-bop era. The band also performs original compositions in a similar style. He’s released two albums; Sweet Love of Mine in 2019 and Be With Me: Live at Eastgate Cafe in 2022.
