GLENN MCCORMICK SEXTET – album release

Come join composer, arranger, and pianist Glenn McCormick as he releases his second full length album “What the Birds Tell Us”. Inspired heavily by the work of Tom Jobim and the nature that surrounds him, Glenn continues in creating new compositions combining Brazilian rhythms and harmonies with the jazz he grew up studying. He will be joined by Russ Johnson (flugelhorn), Sam Taylor (tenor saxophone), Octavio Arcanjo (nylon guitar), Clay Schaub (bass), and Yanni Chudnow (kit). The band will play songs off the new record, as well as some handpicked and hidden gem Jobim originals.
