MJI PRESENTS: “A” TRAIN ENSEMBLE

CELEBRATING MJI’S AWARD-WINNING STUDENTS FRESH FROM NYC

Selected through a competitive recorded submission process, MJI’s “A” Train ensemble has been invited, for the second year in a row, to compete in the Charles Mingus Festival & High School Competition in New York City this February. The “A” Train Ensemble was selected as one of only three schools nationwide in the Specialized School Category of this prestigious competition.

The ensemble is made up of four dedicated young musicians who have been putting in the work, week after week, under the direction of MJI Artistic Director Mark Davis:

After returning from New York, the “A” Train will bring the music home with this special performance, sharing what they’ve learned with our local community. We would love to see you there and celebrate this milestone together.
